The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding production facilities overseas, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as a market that would grow for toilets and bidet seats, as opposed its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure that the next generation would be able to read the words. Many words were replaced by foreign ones. For example, dui, which is Bengali for verandah was being used.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its early years were a mirror of Japan's economic development. In the first half of its existence, the company manufactured products to meet the demands of new, modern urban housing. It was the first tunnel kiln in the nation to produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered the use of automation for production control, allowing greater efficiency and a more consistent production.
In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began to expand overseas in order to take advantage of sales and new markets. The company founded the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other manufacturers' products to complement its own range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the firm’s global market share.
In the 1990s, Toto began focusing on research and development for water-related appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better meet the needs of customers and to increase profits. The company implemented a just-in-time method of managing supply chains and used the same approach for its sales process. This resulted in a higher degree of customer satisfaction.
Toto continued to develop toilet technology. The latest toilet, for instance, has a strong tornado flush that is more eco friendly than conventional toilets. The company also makes use of recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green purchasing policy. Toto also produces faucets, bathtubs and hand dryers with higher energy efficiency than typical models.

The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It features exhibits on the most iconic products of Toto, their evolution, the group companies (all of which are ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and even bath units. In an additional gallery, you can see Toto products that are sold throughout. The museum also has a bathroom with a washbasin and other toilet innovations.
Before the formation of Toto, members of the band did session work for various musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich and guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather and drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name like Asia one would expect the group to be prog queens and kings - but it's actually a fairly straightforward rock band. The group started out as a quartet, and they recorded two albums: 1979's self titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background, but their greatest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a massive blockbuster, but it was not without its issues. Record companies put the band on the place with the directive "give us an album that is a success or we'll take you off the market" and the pressure was on them to give it. Luckily for Toto they did with the help of the smash hit single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is a result of their prior experience. Before joining the group, the members worked as session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their sonic trademark has become the standard for 1980s music, and has inspired a lot of contemporary artists.
The album opens with a strong and pounding sound with songs like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write great AOR songs that slowly build their hooks into you. The album also contains more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. 토토사이트 추천 concludes with Great Expectations. 스포츠토토 사이트 is a mix of folk and the distorted AOR, which should sound completely wrong but actually works extremely well.
After Toto IV, the band's fortunes changed towards the negative. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band was through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band following drug-related charges. The band remained with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.
Despite the chaos, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation however, which was not as successful as IV. The group managed to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was the first to feature the new singer, Simon Phillips.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was an ode to the classic sextet format and an even more consistent and powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. Its edgier sound was indicative of the maturation of group and featured drummer Bobby Kimball's improved virtuosity on drums, and a more confident, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was also more sophisticated, sharper, and less derivative on previous efforts.
After touring to promote their album, the group recorded an Amsterdam live show that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. A new studio album was released just a few months later and the band embarked on a long-distance tour in support of the album. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old demo tapes and tapes to make an album that would feature songs that were never recorded before. The album was released in the form of a double-album called Then and Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band without one single track titled "A". The album also contained a previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis, which affected his singing abilities. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville as a drummer, and Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes along with the other members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened an event in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility of officially restructuring the band. The group, which was missing Howe who was working with Yes at the period, was later renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also had a special appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
